This program is an innovative approach that combines the latest in medical research about pelvic floor function, with the Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education. With these six original Awareness Through Movement lessons you will learn the full use of the pelvic floor by guiding you through a step by step program to improve your awareness and function of the pelvic floor.
Doing these lessons for only 30 minutes a day can improve bladder function and control, enhanced sexual functioning for both men and women, help you to breathe better, and reduced back and pelvic pain.
Description
The gentle exercises in this program go beyond any existing pelvic floor training program, as they emphasize the use of the pelvic floor muscles with other muscles in the hips, legs, and torso, as part of a coordinated system.
Improving pelvic floor function and health. The musculature of the pelvic floor effects all functional movement, as well as the health of the internal organs. For the past five years, Deborah Bowes has been investigating the role of the pelvic floor, and studying with the leading teachers in the field. She has now integrated her deep understanding of the Feldenkrais Method with her knowledge of the complex role of the pelvic floor in human function and action.
The complete CD program includes a 12 page instructional booklet, six educational talks, and six lessons.
